Ribbon-Cutting Heralds Return of Art Zone at Greenbriar Mall

Organizers plan a bi-annual artists' market for the southwest Atlanta mall.

The opening ceremony of the first Bi-Annual Art Zone at Greenbriar Mall was Thursday, July 14. It is running through Sunday, July 17.

Joy Peters, who formally coordinated the artist market for the National Black Arts Festival for 20 years, coordinated the Art Zone's return to Greenbriar.

"The Art Zone is a reunion of artists who have participated in past markets," Peters said. "It is an opportunity to meet and greet with literary and visual artists, craftsmen, writers, musicians and vocalists."
