SACA Day Proclaimed in Fulton County
The honor is the result of an outstanding display of athleticism on the part of the Lady Warriors of SACA in winning the state championship this season.
Wednesday, March 19, 2014 has been proclaimed Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy Day in Fulton County, Georgia.Β
This honor is the result ofΒ an outstanding display of athleticism on the part of the Lady Warriors of SACA. Commissioner s John Eaves and Bill Edwards graciously cited the group of female athletes in the Commissionersβ public meeting in the presence of many other citizens of the county and beyond.
Both Commissioners Eaves and Edwards congratulated the young women for tremendous stamina as the squad with the smallest roster size to make the state championship in basketball.

The team made history as the first team in the state finals to emerge as champions with only seven players. They defeated Holy Innocents who previously held a record of 29 wins and 0 losses before the championship game against SACA at the Coliseum in Macon.
Coach Jackie Cowan, Administrator Patrice Francis, Dr. Gerald Durley as well as several parents and grandparents, joined the team during the accolades-filled awards ceremony which included presentation of a plaque from the commission.Β

The school is sponsored by Fellowship of Faith Church International in East Point where Brother Wayne Thompson serves as Senior Pastor.
