Slade was busted! Help Slade find his forever home.
Adopting is a rewarding experience for everyone, especially the animals. Please consider saving a life today!

Before coming to Furkids, Slade was living at a severely overcrowded shelter. The shelter was told to clear out all the dogs and cats. These βrescuedβ animals thought they were safe but it turns out they needed yet another rescue. Furkids was one of several organizations called on to help and we answered the call. Slade caught our eye immediately. Slade is a great looking, outgoing and fun loving dog. Furkids knew we could help Slade find his forever home in no time! But there was a glitch. Slade tested positive for heartworms. Slade would be with Furkids a bit longer than planned. Heartworm treatment is no fun at all. In fact itβs painful and risky. On top of all of that, Slade had to be kept quiet and confined for weeks during treatment. Thatβs asking a lot of an energetic young dog like Slade but he came through his treatment with flying colors. In fact, after his treatment, we found Slade to be a very a powerful dog. For this reason, Sladeβs forever home must be one with no small children. If that describes your home, please come meet Slade and make him your own!
Since Slade is 1 year old, his adoption fee is $275 unless you have a senior or military ID, then you get an extra 25% off! Furkids adoption fees for all dogs include the following: Bordetella vaccinations, a heartworm test, deworming, microchipping, flea treatment, and spaying or neutering, along with any other necessary medical care prior to adoption. Apply now to meet Slade at Furkids.org or email dogadoptions@furkids.org with questions.
