"SOUL SATURDAY" October 4th Caps 43rd Anniversary Celebration of Dr. Barbara L. King, Founder of Hillside International Truth Center

“Come Home to Hillside...You Are the Soul” is the theme of Hillside International Truth Center’s 43rd Anniversary celebration which will present Gary Zukav - author of “The Seat of the Soul” - delivering a “Soul Talk” on “Creating Authentic Power” from his “Seat of the Soul Life School Series” and Tony and Grammy Awards winning singer/actress/songwriter - Jennifer Holliday - leading a ”Soul Session“ entitled “The Soul Journey of a Songstress and Her Song.”

Zukav and Holliday are set for Hillside’s ”SOUL SATURDAY,” October 4, 2014 - a day of profound teaching and soul-stirring inspiration culminating more than a month of Anniversary programs and activities starting with a ”Founder’s Day Tribute to Dr. Barbara L. King” on September 7. The celebration continues through the month with the ”Jazz on the Hill“ free  concert; an “Interfaith/Intercultural” program featuring children and youth; and much more. Gary Zukav appeared on the “Oprah Winfrey Show” more than 35 times. Winfrey calls his New York Times Best-Seller, “The Seat of the Soul,” her “favorite book of all time except for the Bible.” Zukav co-founded the “Seat of the Soul Institute” with Linda Francis in 1999 with the purpose of assisting people in the creation of authentic power. Two-time Grammy Award winner, Jennifer Holliday, has been proclaimed a Broadway legend by critics and fans alike. Her show-stopping, heart-wrenching performance of the torch ballad, “And I Am Telling You, I’m Not Going,” in the 1981 smash hit, Dreamgirls, is considered one of the all-time best performances in a Broadway musical and the standard to which all other renditions of the song are compared. She won the Tony Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of “Effie” in Dreamgirls.
