Southwest Atlanta Woman Robbed at Gunpoint

The Atlanta attorney says the Alta at Coventry Station apartments should be doing more to warn residents.

ATLANTA, GA -- An Atlanta attorney who was robbed at gunpoint while getting her mail says her apartment complex should be doing more to warn its residents.

Breanna Brown told Channel 2 Action News that her laptop and cell phone was stolen during the robbery. Brown lives at the Alta at Coventry Station apartments in southwest Atlanta, and she says management never told the other residents about the crime.

Brown took it upon herself to tell her neighbors about the incident herself, and she says the complex threatened to evict her. Another attorney who lives in the complex said she was endangering the safety of other residents.
