Richard Benson, Ph.D., author, advocate, and assistant professor of Education Studies at Spelman College, will share excerpts from his newly released book, βFighting For Our Place in the Sun: Malcolm X and the Radicalization of the Black Student Movement, 1960-1973β at a combined book signing and discussion on Tuesday, Feb. 10. During the talk, Dr. Benson will discuss the book, which illuminates the untold tenets of Malcolm Xβs educational philosophy. Free and open to the public, the discussion will be held at 6 p.m. in the NASA auditorium of the Albro-Falconer-Manley Science Center on Spelmanβs campus. For more information, call 404. 270-5309.
