Come out for a HBCU Discussion Panel next Thursday, the 25th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., held at Westlake High School. The panel will be hosted by The Twenty Pearls Foundation, Incorporated. The foundation is a non-profit affiliate of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Tau Epsilon Omega, Inc. Chapter. One of the target programs for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority is the promotion and marketing of historically black colleges and universities and encouraging students to attend HBCUs. In executing this program, this event, which the chapter holds annually, seeks to encourage students to consider the excellent opportunity and versatility provided by HBCUs. Panels will include chapter members who are, themselves, successful graduates of HBCUs. The discussion is titled βHBCU for Lifeβ which is also the name of the program target. Included in the discussion will be information providing guidance and support in completing the application and enrollment process, #CAP. #CAP is the signature program of the sorority and the chapter will include it with all of its HBCU for Life events. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend. For more information on The Twenty Pearls Foundation and its programs, please visit www.the20pearlsfoundation.org.
