UPDATE: Two Shot Dead in SW Atlanta Recording Studio District

The shootings happened late Wednesday night in an entertainment and arts district near West End Mall.

ATLANTA, GA -- Two people were shot and killed in a southwest Atlanta entertainment, arts and recording studio district, and police are questioning at least two other people of interest.

The shootings happened around 8:30 in The Metropolitan business and arts district, located at Metropolitan Parkway and Bronner Bros Way near Adair Park and the West End Mall.

A witness told the AJC that he was inside a recording studio when he heard gunshots, and then saw two men running away.

The Metropolitan is home also to several office, retail and living areas.

Channel 2 Action News is reporting that the gunfire caused a water line to burst, and that police are worried that any evidence of the crime may have been washed away.

Police say the two victims are men who appear to be in their 20s.
