Woman Shot Outside West End CVS Pharmacy

ATLANTA, GA — A woman was shot during an armed robbery early Friday at West End's CVS Pharmacy.

The robbery happened in the parking lot of the store, located 895 Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard. The woman had gone inside to buy some medicine, reports Fox 5, when a black car pulled alongside her vehicle.

When the woman came outside, an armed person got out of the other car and demanded her purse. When the suspect told the woman to lift up her clothes, she refused and ran toward her car. That's when the black car drove away and fired three shots as it left.

The woman was struck once in the back of her neck. She is at Grady Memorial Hospital and is expected to recover.

Police say the suspects were wearing masks, so no description has been obtained.
