1 Dead, 2 Injured In Cumming Head-On Collision

One man is dead and two were hospitalized after a head on collision Tuesday on Browns Bridge Road.

CUMMING, GA — One man is dead and two were hospitalized after a head on collision Tuesday on Browns Bridge Road at the intersection with Bethel Road in Cumming.

Brian Lee Potter, 55, of Gainesville, was killed and Salim Manji, 57, of Gainesville, was hospitalized. A teen was airlifted to a nearby hospital.

On Feb. 6 , at 9:50 p.m., The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department responded
to Browns Bridge Road at the intersection with Bethel Road regarding a two vehicle crash.

The investigation determined that a 2005 Mercedes Benz, operated by Brian Potter, was traveling west on Browns Bridge Road when he lost control. The vehicle crossed over the centerline and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox traveling east on Browns Bridge Road.

The operator of the 2017 Chevrolet Equinox was Manji.

The teen was a passenger in the Mercedes Benz.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
