22 Forsyth Schools Receive High Performance, Greatest Gains Awards
Gov. Nathan Deal announced the 2016 honors on Tuesday.

CUMMING, GA — A full 10 percent of a recent round of statewide awards for high-performing and improving schools went to campuses in Forsyth County.
Gov. Nathan Deal has announced that 22 Forsyth County schools will receive 2016 Highest Performing or Greatest Gains school awards.
A total of 218 Georgia public schools, in 53 districts, will receive the awards.

Throughout Georgia, 139 schools will receive the Greatest Gains award, while 130 will receive the Highest Performing honor.
Fifty-one schools, including 14 in Forsyth County, are award winners in both categories.

The school awards are part of Georgia's Single Statewide Accountability System.
Highest Performing schools must earn a three-year average achievement score on the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile.
Greatest Gains schools must earn a three-year average CCRPI progress score in the same percentile.
The schools honored in Forsyth County are:
- Big Creek Elementary (Greatest Gains: Gold, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Brookwood Elementary (Greatest Gains: Platinum, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Chestatee Elementary (Greatest Gains: Silver)
- Daves Creek Elementary (Greatest Gains: Gold, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Johns Creek Elementary (Greatest Gains: Platinum, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Lakeside Middle (Greatest Gains: Bronze, Highest Performing: Silver)
- Lambert High School (Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Mashburn Elementary (Highest Performing: Bronze)
- Midway Elementary (Greatest Gains: Gold)
- North Forsyth Middle (Greatest Gains: Silver, Highest Performing: Bronze)
- Piney Grove Middle (Greatest Gains: Silver, Highest Performing: Gold)
- Riverwatch Middle (Greatest Gains: Silver, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Settles Bridge Elementary (Greatest Gains: Silver, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Sharon Elementary (Greatest Gains: Bronze, Highest Performing: Platinum)
- Shiloh Point Elementary (Highest Performing: Silver)
