3 Arrested In Cumming After Police Chase From Sandy Springs
After a police chase from Sandy Springs to Cumming, three men from Florida were arrested March 12 for theft and entering an auto.
CUMMING, GA -- Three men from Florida were arrested March 12 after they led police on a chase from Sandy Springs to Cumming.
Donell Johnson Jr., 32, from Sunrise, Florida, was arrested for theft by receiving, entering auto, possession of marijuana, fleeing or attempting to elude, obstruction, reckless driving, failure to obey traffic signal, improper lane change, too fast for conditions, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended license, littering, giving wrong signal, failure to report striking a fixed object, attempting to alter identification (vehicle), hold for Sandy Springs and two holds for jurisdictions in Florida.
Phillip Matthews, 32, from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Jarvis Scott, 32, from Pompano Beach, Florida, were both arrested for theft by receiving, entering auto and a hold for Sandy Springs.

At 7:15 on March 12, a Sandy Spring Police Department Detective called the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office to report a stolen white Chevrolet Suburban reportedly in Forsyth County. Deputies quickly located the Suburban on Ronald Reagan Blvd. at Samples Industrial Blvd. Once the three occupants saw the deputies, the Suburban started south on Ronald Reagan Blvd. with the Sheriff's Office behind them.
The Suburban crashed on Ronald Reagan Blvd. at Peachtree Parkway. Matthews and Scott, were arrested at the scene, while the driver, Johnson, ran on foot. Deputies quickly caught up to Johnson after using a Taser. No other property was damaged except for the Suburban.
All three are now with in the Forsyth County Jail.
