3 Forsyth Restaurants Fail Inspections

CUMMING, GA — It was a tough week for restaurant inspections in Forsyth County. Three restaurants received failing grades from state health inspectors.

At Chopsticks China Bistro, at 405 Peachtree Pkwy. in Cumming, utensils were being washed and rinsed, but not sanitized. Food storage containers had build-ups of food residue, a vegetable sink was being used to wash dishes and employees' personal items were being stored above a food-prep table.

Chopsticks scored a failing 63/U.

At ADDA Sports Pub & Eatery, at 3455 Peachtree Pkwy. in Suwanee, the inspection report cites problems including raw chicken being stored beside ready-to-eat hamburger. A mixing bowl of sauce was being stored in a trash can, back doors were propped open and their were flies in the restaurant. Tables were being cleaned with vinegar.

The restaurant scored a failing 56/U.

Villa's at Canterfield, at 815 Atlanta Hwy. in Cumming, scored a 57/U.

Problems there included raw hamburger being stored above green beans in a cooler, prepared foods marked with the wrong dates and food being stored at the wrong temperatures.

Under state policy, all of the restaurants will be inspected again in the next 10 days. Problems cited on the reports must be fixed, or inspectors could shut them down until the issues are addressed.
