Horizon Christian Academy, a private school in Cumming, said the "amazing and kind" teenagers were students at its school.
"In moments like this, we cling to the truth of Scripture. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.' We pray that God’s presence would be deeply felt by these grieving families, and that His presence would bring comfort, peace and hope even in the midst of unimaginable loss. ... We will stand together, grieve together, and care for one another as the body of Christ. Thank you for your prayers," the school wrote in a Facebook post published Tuesday.
Cumming Police on Tuesday said one of its officers who serves as a school resource officer at Horizon "is deeply connected to the students, staff and families."
"We are part of the Horizon community, and we stand with them - offering our support, prayers and unwavering strength in the days ahead," police wrote in a Facebook post.
Horizon will reopen Monday after spring break.
