4 Georgia Restaurants Named Best For Groups

Four Georgia restaurants — three in Atlanta — made Open Table's Top 100 spots for getting together as a group.

ATLANTA, GA — Whether it's a family gathering, a holiday party at work or just a gathering of old friends, this is the season for getting together for food and drinks.

With that in mind, restaurant-reservations website Open Table has compiled a list of its 100 Best Restaurants For Groups in the country. The list was compiled based on an analysis of more than 10 million reviews of more than 25,000 restaurants across the country.

And four Georgia restaurants — three of them in Atlanta — made the cut.

Atlanta Fish Market, Maggiano's-Buckhead and TWO Urban Licks in Atlanta were the Peach State's honorees, along with The Olde Pink House Restaurant in Savannah.

Writing about Atlanta Fish Market, 265 Pharr Rd. NW, Open Table says its "comfortable, neighborhood atmosphere is a relaxing retreat from the hustle and bustle of Buckhead." The restaurant's adjoining Geechee Crab lounge "is a comfortable place to watch a game, catch up on the latest news or simply relax with a cocktail before dinner," the site says.

Maggiano's, Open Table says, has a "warm dining room" that is a "perfect place for lunch or dinner." It's located at 3368 Peachtree Rd.

"It is no wonder guests keep coming back for more," the site says about TWO Urban Licks, at 820 Ralph McGill Blvd., citing its 9-foot wood-pit rotisserie and nightly live blues performances.

Located in Savannah's only existing 18th Century mansion, The Olde Pink House, 23 Abercorn St.,is noted for "seafood caught daily in local waters, prime aged beef and traditional southern fare."
