Victims Identified in Apparent Murder-Suicide
Four were found dead, including the apparent shooter. A fifth is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds.

Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office has identified the individuals involved in an apparent murder-suicide early Wednesday that left four people dead and a fifth injured.

Deputies with the agency responded just before 6 a.m. to a shooting at a home on Old Atlanta Road in unincorporated Suwanee. Once deputies arrived on to the scene, five residents who appeared to have gunshot wounds were discovered inside the home.
The fatal victims have been identified as a mother and her two children: Rebecca Manning, 37, Jacob Smith, 9, and Jared Smith, 8. All appear to have died from gunshot wounds.

Rebecca Manning’s father, Jerry Manning, 75, was transported to an area hospital and he is being treated for multiple gunshot wounds. He is listed in critical condition.
Rebecca Manning’s husband, Matthew Fields, 32, is believed to be the only suspect. He was found dead at the home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to police.
