63 DUIs, 4,485 Total Calls Recorded In Forsyth In May

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — Cpl. Brandon Wiley shared the May statistics and stories from the Forsyth Sheriff's Office with the public recently in a video.

The monthly statistics broke down as follows:

Residential alarms: 449
Business alarms: 249
Traffic Accidents: 619
Burglaries: 29
DUIs: 63
Total calls for service: 4,485

On the video, Wiley said the police were blown away by the number of stuffed animal donations the department received and congratulated those who participated in the Citizens Law Enforcement Academy.

Forsyth residents on the video told the police how much they're appreciated to celebrate National Police Week.

Forsyth County Sheriff's deputy Brandon Lin, a school resource officer, challenged two Riverwatch Middle School 6th grade students that they couldn't achieve straight As. Well, they worked hard and proved him wrong! Their reward... they got to shave Deputy Lin's head

A post on the Sheriff's Facebook page reads, "This is what happens when you bet two 6th grade girls that they can't make straight As. Did you learn your lesson Brandon Lin?!?! What a great guy and amazing role model for our kids!"

With summer here, Wiley reminded everyone to be safe on the water.
