Afternoon Showers to Burn Off Summer Heat

Afternoon showers are in the forecast throughout the week in Northern Georgia, beginning Tuesday evening.

There is a chance of rain in the afternoon and evening hours of each of the next four days, although sunny skies are also in the forecast for parts of all four days. Highs will remain in the 90s throughout the week, with lows falling only to the low-70s in the evening.

Tuesday: High 94, low 72, heat index 99. 20 percent chance of rain throughout day and into evening.
Wednesday: Mostly sunny. High 94, low 72. 20 percent chance of rain after 2 p.m.
Thursday: Mostly sunny. High 91, low 71. 40 percent chance of showers and/or thunderstorms.
Friday: Mostly sunny. High 90, low 71. 40 percent chance of showers and/or thunderstorms.
