AMC Broadcasting Election-Night Results on the Big Screen in Forsyth
The AMC Avenue Forsyth 12 at The Collection at Forsyth will be one of AMC's "red" locations on election night.

CUMMING, GA — Political junkies in Forsyth County can celebrate, or find shoulders to cry on, at the movie theater this coming election night.
AMC Theaters is teaming up with CNN to host election-night parties on November 8 in 25 cities. Each city will have two theaters showing election results —a "red" theater and a "blue" theater.
In Atlanta, the red theater where, presumably, supporters of Republican nominee Donald Trump are most likely to gather, will be the AMC Avenue Forsyth 12, at The Collection at Forsyth.

The movie chain would have been hard-pressed to find a much redder locale for the gathering. In 2012, more than 80 percent of Forsyth County's presidential vote went to Republican Mitt Romney, compared to about 18 percent for Democratic President Barack Obama.
Meanwhile, AMC Southlake Pavilion 24, all the way on the south end of metro Atlanta in Morrow, will be AMC's "blue" theater, where supporters of Democrat Hillary Clinton will feel more at home.

The election-night event is free and open to AMC Stubs members and up to two guests each.
AMC recently relaunched its AMC Stubs program, adding the free tier of AMC Stubs Insider to complement the premium AMC Stubs Premiere.

A news release makes it clear that Stubs members may RSVP for either theater in their market, regardless of political affiliation.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. on election night, with the event officially beginning at 7 p.m., when the first polls close.
"The 2016 presidential race has generated record-setting viewing on television and online, and we’re excited to have CNN bring the culmination of the race to the big screen," said Elizabeth Frank, AMC's Executive Vice President and Chief Content & Programming Officer, in a news release.
"On election night, as Americans gather in their communities to watch the conclusion of this historic election, we recognize that Democrats want to cheer with fellow Democrats, and Republicans cheer with fellow Republicans, so we’ve designated 'Blue' and 'Red' theaters in each participating market."
