Ant-Man Opens Thursday: Showtimes, Trailer

The next big superhero blockbuster is going really small. Ant-Man stars Paul Rudd as a burglar-turned-hero in the latest offering from Marvel Studios (Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy).

Variety’s Justin Chang calls it an “enjoyably off-the-cuff franchise starter.”

The A.V. Club celebrated the film’s exit from the standard. Writer Ignatiy Vishnevetsky says Ant-Man is “a welcome antidote to the over-burdened world-saving that seems to define big-screen superhero stories.”
