Back to School Storms? Here's the First Day Forecast

Let’s hope an umbrella and rain boots were on the school supply list, because the first day of school is shaping up to be a wet one Thursday.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely, mainly after 1 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

The rain (and possibly a storm) will hang out through the evening. There’s a chance of showers after 10 p.m.

There’s still a 40 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms Friday. And slight chances for storms will linger through the extended forecast.
