Body Found In Lake Lanier
Authorities believe the body is that of Yakov Shteyman, a jet-skier who went missing after striking a fishing boat Monday night.

CUMMING, GA — Authorities have retrieved a body from Lake Lanier believed to be that of a Cumming man whose jet ski wrecked with a fishing boat Monday night.
The body was discovered by search crews Tuesday evening, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
The missing man has been identified as Yakov Shteyman, 34, of Cumming.

At about 8:30 p.m. Monday, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office patrol division and marine unit, along with fire department and Department of Natural Resources crews, responded to a boating accident on the lake near Charleston Park.
Based on initial investigation, it appeared that a jet ski driven by Shteyman had collided with a bass fishing boat.

Shteyman went into the lake and did not resurface, the sheriff's office said. A search was launched at that time.
