Bond Denied For Cumming Mom Accused Of Leaving Baby In Plastic Bag
The newborn baby survived after being found in 2019 inside of a plastic bag in a wooded area in Cumming.

CUMMING, GA — Bond was denied Thursday for Karima Jiwani, a 40-year-old mother accused of leaving her newborn daughter in a plastic bag in the woods at Daves Creek Road in 2019, according to 11Alive.
Known as Baby India, the newborn survived and remains healthy, Forsyth County authorities confirmed to Patch Thursday.
Forsyth County Sheriff Ron Freeman said at a past news conference Jiwani is being charged on suspicion of criminal intent to commit murder, first-degree cruelty to children, aggravated assault and reckless abandonment.

According to 11Alive, Thursday's formal hearing was the second time bond was denied for Jiwani in the case.
