  1. Cumming resident Buck Belue, former star quarterback of the 1980 championship Georgia Bulldogs team, will be holding a book signing at Rosati's Sports Pub on Jul. 24 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Belue's book, "Inside the Hedges," account's his experience playing for the team from 1978-1981.   3. Cumming city officials and the Forsyth County Board of Commissioners discussed the proposed tax referendum on Monday evening. The five-minute meeting, required by law, was the start of placing the countywide transportation local option sales tax referendum on the Nov. 8 ballot. (Appen Media)
  4. The Cumming Post Office on Tribble Gap Road is hosting a job fair on Jul. 14 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Available jobs at the post office include rural carrier associate, assistant rural carrier, city carrier assistant, and a postal support employee. (Forsyth County News Online)
  5. A 71-year-old Cumming woman has been defrauded through her eBay account for $246 worth of items. The woman realized the fraud occurred after receiving a package of Nike Air Jordan tennis shoes from the company and checking her eBay account where a request was put in to change the shipping address. It appears the suspect may have gotten a copy of the woman's license through an email she had sent to a loan company. (Appen Media)
