Business Sells Alcohol To Minor, Fails Forsyth Sheriff's Test
Forsyth Sheriff's deputies conducted an undercover operation on ten businesses to see if any would sell to a minor and one did.

FORSYTH COUNTY, GA — The Forsyth County Sheriff's Ordinance and Permits Unit conducted an undercover operation to check alcohol compliance, June 1. The Sheriff's Office reported that out of the ten businesses checked, only one sold to an underage person.
The Valero Food Mart, located at 4325 Browns Bridge Road, was the business that sold alcohol to a minor. The police report indicates that a person under the age of 21 went in and grabbed a pack of beer and brought it to the register. The clerk checked the buyer's State of Georgia driver's license. The clerk sold the beer to the buyer even though the buyer's driver's license showed he was under 21 years old.
The clerk was issued a citation for selling alcohol to an underage person.
