Cameras On School Buses Begins Monday In Forsyth
Violators who are caught on camera will receive a citation from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, a $300 fine for the first offense.

Forsyth County, GA – Beginning Monday, April 30, the new Forsyth County school bus stop arm enforcement will begin. This camera system will capture vehicles illegally passing stopped school buses that have their stop sign extended to load and unload students.
Violators who are caught on camera will receive a citation from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, a $300 fine for the first offense, according to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
"There is really never any reason to pass a stopped school bus, which seriously endangers our children," reads a recent Facebook post. "Citizens have repeatedly expressed their concerns regarding drivers passing school busses; so the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office partnered with Forsyth County Schools to implement this system as another stride in keeping our students safe. Our goal is to establish and maintain a safe environment for our children, NOT to issue tickets, therefore we sincerely hope that none of these citations are sent out!"
