Carrington Academy in Cumming Donates Nearly 600 Food Items

Carrington Academy students held a food drive and several gift drives to give back during the holidays

Students at Carrington Academy on Majors Road in Cumming held several giving initiatives for the holiday season. During the school’s food drive to help stock the shelves of the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, they collected and donated nearly 600 nonperishable food items to feed local families.

Students also held a gift drive and collected more than 40 gifts benefitting the Make-A-Wish® Foundation, as well as children who are residing at Ronald McDonald House chapters in Georgia while undergoing treatment. Pre-K 2 students presented some of the gifts they collected to a representative from Ronald McDonald House. Through their efforts, students learned the importance of helping others, especially during the holiday season.
