Carrington Academy in Cumming Holds Garden Dedication in Honor of Cancer Survivors on Earth Day

Students planted flowers around a flag pole that was installed at their school in memory of a father who recently passed away

On April 21, students at Carrington Academy on Majors Road in Cumming held a garden dedication at their school in honor of cancer survivors for Earth Day. A mother who is a cancer survivor was in attendance for the dedication. Students created the garden by planting flowers around a flag pole that was installed on their campus in memory of a father who recently passed away, and the flag was raised in his honor. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of caring for the environment, as well as community members in need.
