Carrington Academy Donates 1,255 Food Items to Place of Forsyth

Students from three Carrington Academy schools in Cumming and Suwanee partnered to hold a food drive for the local nonprofit

Carrington Academy Midway and Carrington Academy on Kelly Mill Road in Cumming, and Carrington Academy in Suwanee recently partnered together to hold a food drive for The Place of Forsyth. From Nov. 13 through Dec. 1, students worked together to collect a total of 1,255 food items for the organization. The donations will help feed those in need in Forsyth County this holiday season. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of giving back to the community and helping others.

The Place of Forsyth is a nonprofit social service organization that has been serving Forsyth County families in difficult times since 1975 with emergency basic needs. The Place also operates a thrift store on-site, providing affordable merchandise, and all sales support agency operations. For more information, visit www.theplaceofforsyth.org.
