Child Left in Hot Car in Cumming; Mom Arrested
Police believe the child was inside the vehicle for an hour.

A mother is behind bars at the Forsyth County Detention Center after Cumming police say she left her 11-month-old daughter in a hot car for an hour while she went shopping for school supplies with her other children.
WSB-TV reports that Amber Sue Adams was shopping at the Walmart at 1500 Marketplace Boulevard in Cumming on Friday with three of her children, but forgot to take her youngest daughter inside. Adams told police she forgot about the infant because her mother had strapped her in to a rear-facing car seat.
The infant was discovered by a passerby, who called 911. When paramedics arrived at the car and found the infant, her face appeared to be red as if she had suffered sunburn and she was drenched in sweat. She was taken to the hospital, but fortunately is doing well.
