City Of Cumming Hosting Veterans Day Ceremony Wednesday

The Annual Veterans Day Ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the Cumming Fairgrounds.

CUMMING, GA — The Annual Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. The event, which this year is presented by American Legion Cumming Post 307, will be held at the covered arena at the Cumming Fairgrounds across the street from the Veterans War Memorial.

This year's event will combine the postponed Memorial Day event and Veterans Day ceremonies, including speeches, patriotic music, honor guards, and ceremonial wreath laying at the traveling replica of Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers.

This free community event will feature patriotic speakers, Forsyth County Sheriff and Fire Department Honor Guard, and music from Forsyth Central High School's Flash of Crimson Band, local homeschool groups and soloists. Those in attendance are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing as much as possible, and to reserve parking spaces at the Cumming Police Department for the elderly or those with mobility issues. Additional parking is available at the Cumming Fairgrounds and the Castleberry Road parking deck.
