Seven Cornerstone students win first prize in their category and will represent Cornerstone Schools at the state wide competition

Cornerstone and the Annual Forsyth Region Georgia Student Technology Competition
The annual Forsyth Region Georgia Student Technology Competition was held on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Cornerstone Schools, a local private school located in Cumming, Georgia, sent a team of 25 students to the county qualifying competition held at Whitlow Elementary School.
There were 25 students representing Cornerstone who competed in several different categories. Fourteen students won medals in one of the following categories: Animation, Graphic Design and Project Programming. Seven of these students won first prize in their category and will represent Cornerstone School at the state wide competition to be held on March 9, 2019, at Middle Georgia State University in Macon, Georgia. These first place winners are Josephine Bowman and Harper Danforth (4th grade) – Animation, Ginger Fernandez and Savannah Patelczyk (6th grade) – Graphic Design, Vivian Hosier and Eric Kidd (7th grade) - Graphic Design, and Drew Teasley (7th grade) – Animation

Elenor Sneddon and Amelia King (3rd graders) – Animation and Lucas Martin (6th grader) - Project Programming all won second place medals. Isabella Stanescu and Savannah Baggett (3rd graders) - Graphic Design, Madden Callis and Jessica Perry (7th graders) - Project Programming placed third.
Overall, it was a very successful day for the students representing Cornerstone Schools. They were able to demonstrate their skills and talent in the area of technology and we are very proud of them! As their teacher, Mrs. Bindu Bakka points out, there is no substitute for hard work , except harder work and each of these students exhibited this very valuable attribute in a positive and successful manner.
