Cornerstone Schools State Winner of STEM Education Award!

Cornerstone Schools Wins Statewide Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Award

Cornerstone Schools of Cumming, Georgia, Wins Statewide Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Award sponsored by the Technology Association of Georgia

September 26, 2014: The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), the state’s leading association dedicated to the promotion and economic advancement of Georgia’s technology industry, held its third annual Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) finals in Savannah, Georgia --- and chose Cornerstone Schools of Cumming, GA as the Statewide Winner in the Middle School category for the 2014 STEM Education Award! TAG chose Forsyth County’s Cornerstone as the top STEM middle school out of 170 applicants in 8 different categories. The Technology Association of Georgia recognizes top schools focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Education.

Earlier this year, Cornerstone Schools also won the Statewide Ecybermission, sponsored by the United States Army! Cornerstone Schools’ sixth grade won first place in the Ecybermission Georgia competition --- and our eighth grade won second place statewide. Both of Cornerstone’s Ecybermission projects related to the environment, botany, biology, and conservation, with an emphasis on the scientific method.

Cornerstone’s administration would like to thank the Cornerstone faculty for their dedication, creativity, and continued emphasis on making Cornerstone the top STEM middle school in the State of Georgia!
