The Sawnee EMC has donated $17,250 to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since 2010 to support local blood cancer patients within the territory of the Sawnee EMC, including Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Hall and Lumpkin counties. In a recent check presentation, Mary Colston, Donor Development Director for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society accepted a donation of $2,500 from Cindy Badgett, Director of External Affairs with the Sawnee Electric Membership Corporation.
