Cumming Costco, Aldi Openings Part of Forsyth's "Business First" Strategy
The Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce is working towards improving the county's business prospects.

The recent grand openings of Costco and Aldi and the not-too-far-off opening of Sprouts Farmers Market are signs of a business boom being orchestrated by the Cumming-Forsyth Chamber of Commerce.
According to North Atlanta Business Post, Forsyth County’s residential population has skyrocketed in the past 15 years, but business development has not kept pace with the county’s growth. The chamber of commerce is working to bring more businesses to the county with the ”Business First” program.
North Atlanta Business Post says that Business First is designed to attract restaurants, retail, big box stores, and hotels to the underserved county. The program was launched after a study commissioned by the chamber revealed the county’s business portfolio was not as robust as it could be.

Business First has a stated goal of increasing Forsyth County’s commercial digest from 20 to 25 percent. The opening of Cumming’s Costco on Aug. 29 and Cumming’s Aldi on Sept. 4 are proof that the program is already making progress. The 2015 opening of a Sprouts Farmers Market in Cumming will only add to the program’s track record.
The Cumming store will be the fifth Sprouts franchise in Georgia, joining stores in Snellville, Johns Creek, Peachtree Corners, and Dunwoody.

According to Tomorrow’s News Today, the new store will be located at Lakeland Plaza, replacing the old Stein Mart. Lakeland Plaza is at the intersection of Atlanta and Buford highways, near exit 14 on Ga. 400.
