Cumming Costco Opens Tomorrow

Cumming’s newest retail building will officially open to the public on Friday.

The new Costco, which is located at Bald Ridge Marina and Market Place Boulevard, is scheduled to host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. on Aug. 29. Cumming’s Costco boasts 148,000 sq. ft. of retail space, 675 parking spaces, and a gas station in the parking lot.

Inside Costco, shoppers will find a liquor store and a tire service center.

Patch reported in March that the big box store was eyeing an August opening after resolving a dispute between itself and the owners of the land the store now sits on. The conflict had brought construction to a halt from June, 2013 until the March resolution.

Cumming’s Mayor, H. Ford Gravitt, told The Forsyth Herald in July that the new store will bring 150 jobs to the city.
