Man Killed In Cumming Head-On Crash; Woman Facing DUI Charges
A woman who was under the influence of drugs hit a pickup truck head-on, killing a man, authorities said.

CUMMING, GA — A Cumming resident died Wednesday evening after authorities say a woman under the influence of drugs hit his pickup truck head-on at Parks Road, west of Burrus Mill Road.
A red Dodge Ram 2500 was going west on Parks Road around 6:45 p.m., when the truck crossed into the eastbound lane and hit a gray F-150 head-on, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.
Authorities identified the driver of the F-150 as 48-year-old Salvador Cervantes Bernal. He died at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge was identified as Yamilet Sanchez Pagan, 24, of Gainesville. Sanchez Pagan was taken to the hospital for evaluation, authorities said.
According to the sheriff's office, an investigation showed she was under the influence of drugs at the time of the crash.

Warrants were obtained to charge Sanchez Pagan with first-degree homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving, driving while license suspended and failure to maintain insurance.
She will be taken into custody after being released from the hospital, authorities said.
