Good morning, friends! It's me, Nicole Fallon-Peek, your host of the Cumming Daily — here to impart all the most important things happening in town these days.

First, today's weather:

A stray afternoon t-storm. High: 94 Low: 76.

Here are the top five stories today in Cumming:

  1. Cumming star linemen Nathan Efobi added another school to his top ten potential college land spots on Tuesday. The South Forsyth High linemen added NC State to his list of options on Tuesday. Efobi has NC State, Boston College, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Louisville, Miami (Florida), Missouri, and Penn State on his list and has already unofficially visited NC State, Duke, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Miami, and Penn State so far. 3. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is congratulating one of its most loyal members on their decades of service to Forsyth citizens. This week, the FCSO celebrated Lt. Coulter this week for his twenty years of dedicated service. Thank you for protecting the people of Cumming! (Forsyth County Sheriff's Office)
  4. On Tuesday night, the Forsyth Elections Board removed 12 registered voters from its rolls. The voters in question had either moved out of the county, registered to vote somewhere else, or sold the property at which they were registered to vote. The Georgia Secretary of State's office is in the process of clearing the entire state's voter rolls itself. (Forsyth Herald)
  5. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that another Georgia citizen has tested positive for monkeypox. Their location has not been revealed; however, the first reported cases in Georgia were found in the Atlanta metro. Last Thursday, the Georgia Department of Public Health spokesperson Nancy Nydam said that the Department of Public Health has been notified that the state's first allocation of the monkeypox vaccine will include 1,284 vaccines.
