Some early-week storms will give way to mostly sunny, and hot, weather later this week.

CUMMING, GA -- Those summertime thunderstorms aren't quite done with us yet.

But give it a few days, and forecasters say the skies will be clearing.

And, this may not come as a suprise: it's going to be hot. Temperatures every day this work week are predicted to get into the 90's.

Here's a look at this week's forecast for Cumming from the National Weather Service:

Monday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Monday night sees a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 11 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.

Tuesday: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning. The 30 percent chance for rain continues Tuesday night, mainly before 8 p.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon. Partly cloudy Wednesday night, with a low around 72.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Partly cloudy Thursday night, with a low around 71.

Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 91. Partly cloudy Friday night, with a low around 72.
