Cumming Woman Hospitalized Following Wreck Involving Forsyth Sheriff's Deputy
The deputy was responding to a vehicle pursuit when the accident occurred and was uninjured, a Georgia State Patrol spokeswoman said.

An accident in Cumming which involved a Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office patrol car sent one woman to the hospital over the weekend, the Georgia State Patrol says.
GSP spokeswoman Tracey Watson says that the accident occurred at 8:51 p.m. on Saturday at the intersection of Buford Highway and Market Place Boulevard. According to Watson, the patrol car was crossing south in the right lane of Market Place Boulevard against a red light with lights and sirens activated in response to a vehicle pursuit.
At the same time, a 2009 Toyota Camry was in the right eastbound lane of Buford Highway crossing the intersection with the green light when the front of the patrol car struck the left side of the Camry, Watson said. Watson added that the patrol car had not properly cleared the right lane before traveling through the south of the intersection.
