Deputies, Community Help Needy Kids
Bikes, toys and clothes were donated after the deputies took to social media asking for help.

CUMMING, GA β Sometimes, it's about more than just fighting crime.
Some Forsyth County Sheriff's Office deputies recently ran into some children from a family that had clearly hit hard times.
"During a call involving these kids, it became clear that this family needed some help," the office said in a Facebook post.

Instead of just shaking their heads, the deputies took to social media, asking the public for help.
And the public came through.

Bicycles, backpacks, clothes, bedding and toys -- all rolled in as a response to the request.
On Tuesday, the sheriff's office posted photos of the deputies delivering the goods to a beaming brother and sister
"As you can see," the post reads, "the response was overwhelming."
"With everything going on in our country today, this is why we continue to do what we do. It makes it all worthwhile."
