Deputies Go Bald For Young Cancer Patient

Brayden, the 7-year-old nephew of Forsyth County Deputy Cleve Plumley, is undergoing chemotherapy to treat his cancer.

CUMMING, GA β€” A group of Forsyth County deputies are sporting a smoother look these days -- and it's all in support of a 7 year old battling cancer.

Brayden is the nephew of sheriff's Deputy Cleve Plumley. As part of his treatment, he's currently undergoing chemotherapy.

In solidarity, Plumley decided to shave his head and go with the bald look that chemo often causes. And his fellow deputies weren't about to let him go it alone.

"That is tough for anyone, especially when you are 7!" a Forsyth County Sheriff's Office Facebook post said Tuesday. "Well, in law enforcement, we are family. Deputy Plumley's fellow deputies came together to shave their heads to show Brayden that they are behind him and support him. We are all pulling for you, Brayden!"

In all, seven deputies got a new, clean look in honor of Brayden. They got together at the sheriff's office, getting a close trim with the clippers before having their heads shaved totally bald.
