Deputies, Piney Grove Middle Students Team Up For Kids
Students and sheriff's deputies made blankets, which will be given to children victimized or in distress.
CUMMING, GA -- Students at Piney Grove Middle School in Cumming got a visit from Forsyth County Sheriff deputies recently, for a project to help kids in need.
The visit on Friday was part of the school's Grizzly Great Day of Giving.
Close to 1,700 members of the Piney Grove community spent the day volunteering with more than 76 charitable organizations throughout the area.

The students who spent time with sheriff's deputies spent the day making blankets.
The blankets will be given to deputies, who will, in turn, give them to children who are victims of crime or otherwise in distress, the sheriff's office said.
