Donations Sought for Forsyth Courthouse Time Capsule
The time capsule will be filled with mementos from the present day, but also historical documents concerning the old courthouse.

Staff Report
The Bell-Forsyth Judicial Circuit is seeking the assistance of the public in gathering items for inclusion in the time capsule to be placed in the new Forsyth County Courthouse. The time capsule will be placed in the cornerstone of the new building. It is slated to feature both items that are representative of present-day Forsyth County as well as historical documents and items.
Items being sought include:

- Letters from Forsyth County citizens who were residents at the time of the dedication of the current courthouse in 1976
- Citizen accounts of trials and/or jury service in the 1905 courthouse
- Printed photographs of present-day Forsyth County, including such things as the courthouse, city hall, downtown Cumming, historical sites, schools, thoroughfares, parks, the Big Creek Greenway, shopping areas and churches (photographs should be labeled and dated)
- Forsyth County high school sports programs
- Publications, lapel pins, etc. from service organizations in Forsyth County
Those interested in submitting items to be considered for inclusion can bring the items on Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to the Court Administration Office, which is located in the modular building behind the current courthouse.
