Driver In Hit-And-Run That Injured Teen Sought: Forsyth Sheriff

The 15-year-old girl was leaving an evening youth service at an Alpharetta church when she was hit by a black SUV, authorities say.

ALPHARETTA, GA — Authorities say are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver accused of a hit-and-run that injured a 15-year-old girl last month in Alpharetta.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday said the girl was leaving an evening youth service at a Strickland Road church when she was hit by a black SUV around 8:45 p.m., Jan. 14.

After the crash, authorities said the driver fled the scene and headed toward Atlanta Highway. The driver has not been identified.

The girl was taken to a local hospital, where she is recovering from her injuries, authorities said.
