CUMMING, GA — A secure drop-off box is an option for returning absentee ballots for Cumming voters during the early voting period.

Absentee ballots may be mailed (be sure to use sufficient postage if mailing) or personally delivered to the Forsyth County Voter Registrations and Elections, 1201 Sawnee Dr., Cumming.

Absentee ballots must be returned to the office, either having been mailed or personally delivered, by 7 pm on Election Day in order to be counted.

Absentee ballots will be opened on Election Day. All absentee ballots remain sealed and under lock and key until that day. Following Georgia Election Code, all absentee ballots submitted and accepted are counted in the final totals for every election.

Advance voting for the Nov. 3 General and Special Election will be offered to registered Forsyth County voters from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays and select Saturdays for three weeks, Oct. 12 through Oct. 30, at various locations.

Voting hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

  • Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdown Road
  • Parks & Recreation Natural Resources Operations Center, 1605 Canton Hwy.
  • Sharon Springs Park Community Building, 1950 Sharon Road
  • Midway Park Community Building, 5100 Post Road
  • Cumming Recreation & Parks Multi-Purpose Room, 437 Pilgrim Mill Road
  • Coal Mountain Park Community Building, 3560 Settingdown Road

Advance voting will be available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Oct.19 through Friday, Oct. 30, and from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17 and 24, at the following locations:

  • Sharon Forks Library, 2820 Old Atlanta Road,
  • Windermere Lodge, 4444 Front Nine Dr.

Advance voting will be available on weekdays from 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. beginning Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Oct. 30, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the following location:

  • Sexton Hall Enrichment Center, 2115 Chloe Road

There is no voting at any location on the Monday prior to any election.
