Early Voting Begins for Council Election, House District 24

Hours and locations for advance voting in the June 16 special elections.

Advance Voting for the June 16 Special Election to fill the vacancy in Georgia House District 24 and Cumming City Council Post 1 began Tuesday and will run through June 12. These Special Elections only affect voters in Georgia House District 24 and the city of Cumming.

In Forsyth County, Georgia House District 24 encompasses portions of the Coal Mountain precinct, portions of the Cumming precinct, portions of the Midway precinct, portions of the Heardsville precinct, portions of the Otwell precinct and portions of the Polo precinct. Only those voters who reside in Georgia House District 24 are eligible to vote to fill the House District vacancy.

Forsyth County registered voters who reside in Georgia House District 24 and the city of Cumming may cast their ballot during Advance Voting (May 26 – June 12) at the Forsyth County Administration Building, located at 110 E. Main Street in Cumming and at Cumming City Hall at 100 Main Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays through June 5.

Beginning Saturday, June 6, a third Advance Voting location will be available. In addition to the Forsyth County Administration Building and Cumming City Hall, a third location at the Midway Park Community Building located at 5100 Post Road will be open for voting during Advance Voting for the June 16 Special Election.

Please note there is no voting of any kind the Monday prior to any election.
