Early Voting Expands to More Cumming Sites Monday
It's also the final week for voters to cast their ballots before Election Day.

The final week of early voting in the Nov. 4 Genera Election begins on Monday in Forsyth County, and several new polling stations will be opened to accept ballots.
Starting on Monday, Forsyth residents can cast their ballots at the Hampton Park Library, Cumming City Hall, the Midway Park Community Building, the Sharon Springs Park Community Building, and the Forsyth County Administration Building. These sites will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.
If any of the Nov. 4 races are too close to call, runoff elections will be scheduled. The state and local general runoff would be on Dec. 2, while any federal runoff election would be held on Jan. 6, 2015.

Voters who wish to head to the polls on Sunday will have to wait until 2016 for that possibility; the Forsyth County Board of Elections ruled out opening polls on Sundays for 2014 early voting during their meeting on Monday, but would continue to examine the possibility and could implement Sunday voting by the 2016 election cycle.
The board said that the cost and inability to raise enough awareness of early Sunday voting in the short time allowed were prime reasons why they decided against the measure. Religious considerations also came into play.
