Easter Weekend Weather Forecast in Georgia

Spring showers and thunderstorms are a possibility on this early Easter weekend.

ATLANTA -- It might be a rainy Easter throughout much of north Georgia.

National Weather Service forecasts are calling for pleasant temperatures in metro Atlanta on Good Friday and Saturday. But thunderstorms are expected Saturday night, and rain could continue through most of the day Sunday.

"Rain and thunderstorms will occur across much of the Deep South and Gulf Coast states, so umbrellas will be needed for sunrise services," AccuWeather Meteorologist Dan Pydynowski said.
