Eight Forsyth Businesses Busted Selling Alcohol To Minors

Forsyth Sheriff's deputies made underage-purchase checks at 30 businesses.

CUMMING, GA -- Eight Forsyth County businesses have been cited for selling alcohol to minors after a sting operation by the sheriff's office.

One of the stores also was cited for selling alcohol without a permit, the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said in a news release Wednesday.

The violations involved a deputy observing store employees selling alcohol to someone under the age of 21. In total, 30 businesses were monitored during the operation.

The businesses where an employee sold alcohol to a minor are:

  • Shell Food Mart, 2324 Atlanta Hwy., Cumming
  • Publix 616, 4900 Atlanta Hwy., Alpharetta
  • Branchwater Restaurant, 5820 S. Bond St., Cumming
  • Ducktown BP (no permit), 4636 Canton Hwy., Cumming
  • QuikTrip, 1655 Buford Hwy., Cumming
  • BP, 3240 Peachtree Pkwy., Suwanee
  • QuikTrip, 3611 Peachtree Pkwy., Suwanee
  • Applebee's, 4210 Johns Creek Hwy., Suwanee
